SFMix 009: S.C.D.D. Hazmat Team
The enigmatic Steel City mob are here with a mix to energise and electrify.
S.C.D.D. Hazmat Team are getting ready to drop their forthcoming RBT EP on July 31 via their own Steel City Dance Discs. And they have put together a mix that mirrors what we can expect from the release: “Bogan Nosebleed Gabber Techno From Newcastle.”
Consisting of three friends (Cody Brassington, Jackson Fitzsimmons & Jarred Kennedy) from Newcastle — Australia’s Steel pot — they were briefly separated, but are back together again in London. As the logistics of running their revered label and making music are made easier, they are keen to strike while the iron is hot.
“Now as some of us are back together, it makes it a lot easier to get our ideas across and act as soon as inspiration strikes,” they say. “S.C.D.D. is always up to something.”
Expect more of the same from this mix in a live setting as they embark on a slew of UK shows with Mall Grab, Yazzus, KETTAMA, and DJ Boring later this year.
