SFMix 001: Bill Mango
Irish selector Bill Mango counts us down to the New Year with this unwinding mix.
Having garnered a reputation for hosting effervescent parties in Berlin’s now-defunct Griessmuehle, Bill Mango is keeping his house/disco repertoire at bay in favour of a more solemn listening experience. Expect 45 minutes of introspection as Bill guides us through a journey of ambience and cool jazz.
“Christmas decorations had just gone up in the family home the day I recorded this mix so I was definitely in a cosy, wholesome headspace,” says Bill.
“This being my last mix of this chaotic, rubbish year, I thought it would be nice to end it with a sliver of serenity. It’s mostly made up of warm piano tunes, so stick on your slippers, light the wood fire, and hold your favourite kitten close to your heart. Enjoy.”
